This year, ESIC University hosted the 34th edition of the Spanish Association of Academic and Professional Marketing (AEMARK) Conference, which took place from the 6th to the 8th of September 2023.
AEMARK brings together the brightest and most outstanding minds in Marketing research, and companies, by offering a space for discussion on behaviour and interactions between consumers and firms in digital environments, virtual worlds, technological and hyperconnected.
Adriana Mutu has presented a research paper analyzing the regulation of audiovisual commercial communication and advertising under the revised Spanish General Law on Audiovisual Media at the 34th edition of the Spanish Association of Academic and Professional Marketing (AEMARK) Conference hosted by ESIC University in Madrid, between the 6th to the 8th of September 2023.
Based on a qualitative longitudinal analysis, the study presented at the conference mapped out the specific domestic instruments used for the elaboration of the national audiovisual Spanish law, and shedding light on the measures enforced aiming at strengthening the protection of viewers from potentially harmful and prejudicial content on linear audiovisual programs, video-sharing platforms, and social networks. It also addressed the question of how Spanish regulatory authorities and consumer protection bodies are monitoring the measures included in the General Law.
