MEDEA is pleased to announce that Adriana Mutu has been awarded an Erasmus Mundus Visiting Scholarship for Academics and Policy Professionals within the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme in Public Policy (Mundus MAPP).
As part of the fellowship, Adriana will be hosted by the University of York, UK, during summer 2027, where she will contribute to the programme’s academic and policy-oriented activities.
The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme in Public Policy is a joint international programme supported by the European Commission and delivered by a consortium comprising Central European University, the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), and the University of York. The programme brings together an international community of academics and policy professionals working at the intersection of public policy, governance and international affairs.
The visiting scholarship brings practitioners and scholars with established academic and professional profiles into the Mundus MAPP community, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, teaching and research collaboration.
Adriana’s work sits at the intersection of media policy, digital regulation and public policy, with a particular focus on platform governance, digital markets, online safety and the protection of minors in the digital environment. During her fellowship, Adriana plans to contribute to teaching and research on contemporary digital policy challenges, including platform regulation, the implementation and enforcement of the Digital Services Act, online safety and the protection of children and adolescents in the digital age. Her contribution will draw on her experience of working directly on regulatory and legislative processes across different European and neighbouring jurisdictions.
The fellowship represents a further opportunity to connect academic research, policy expertise and international practice, areas that are also central to MEDEA’s mission as an expert network working across the Mediterranean, Europe and Africa.
