Drissia Chouit Participates as Keynote Speaker at International Conference on Language, Literature and Culture

Drissia Chouit participated as a Keynote Speaker at the International Online Conference on Language, Literature and Culture: Beyond Boundaries, Exploring Interdisciplinary Perspectives, organised by the Department of French, Chandernagore College, West Bengal, India, in partnership with the Association de Francophiles, on 26–27 June 2026.

Drissia delivered a lecture in French entitled “Comment prouver la systématicité des langues? Linguistique Métaopérationnelle et Stratégies de Communication à l’œuvre” (How can we demonstrate the systematic nature of languages? Meta-Operational Linguistics and Communication Strategies in Action). The presentation explored the systematic nature of languages through the perspective of Meta-Operational Linguistics and communication strategies, while paying tribute to Professor Henri Adamczewski, founder of Meta-Operational Linguistics.

The conference brought together scholars from different academic backgrounds to explore interdisciplinary approaches to language, literature, and culture. The event also marked an important occasion for Drissia Chouit, representing her first academic interaction with Indian scholars in French after years of collaboration with researchers from India primarily in English.

Drissia Chouit is Co-Chair of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Alliance 2023–2025, Founding Member of the UNESCO-UNITWIN University Network on Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue, and former consultant to UNESCO.
