As part of Albania’s ongoing efforts to align national legislation with the Digital Services Act (DSA) under Chapter 10 “Digital Transformation and Media,” a high-level dialogue meeting was held at Europe House in Tirana.
The meeting featured the participation of Francesco Sciacchitano, EU expert on media and platform regulation, who provided strategic insights into the innovations introduced by the DSA and their implications for Albanian legal frameworks. His contribution helped clarify key aspects of platform accountability, regulatory adaptation, and the broader European approach to online content governance.
Bringing together representatives from regulatory authorities, civil society, and interest groups, the session reaffirmed the commitment of the inter-institutional working group led by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (MIE) to advance the transposition of the DSA and fulfil Albania’s obligations under the EU accession process.
