Joan Barata will join a roundtable on research communication and policy impact on 27 October 2026, as part of the Young Media Researchers Program for Lebanon, an EU-funded initiative led by the Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC), in partnership with Maharat Foundation and Legal Agenda in Lebanon.

The roundtable, organised by Adriana Mutu, Lead Mentor in the programme, is entitled “After Research? Focus on Developing One’s Expertise and Impactful Dissemination to Non-Academic Stakeholders”.

The discussion will address how researchers can identify relevant stakeholders, tailor messages to different audiences, and increase the visibility and impact of their work.

Through his participation, MEDEA contributes to the exchange of expertise between researchers, media professionals, and policy stakeholders, supporting stronger links between research and public policy.
