Workshop Israel Twinning Project – 29 November 2022

The EU Digital Markets Regulation workshop took place on 29 November at the Sheraton Hotel in Tel Aviv, with the aim of explaining to Israeli institutions the role of the DSA and DMA as cross-cutting regulations of online platforms and highlighting the interaction of these horizontal pieces of legislation with vertical sectoral content regulation (mainly EMFA, but also AVMS and the Copyright Directive). Representatives of European regulators shared their views with representatives of platforms (Google and Meta) and a newly established think tank, MEDEA (Mediterranean Europe and Africa).
Sally Broughton Micova and Augusto Preta were representing MEDEA at the conference. Other MEDEA members such as Lubos Kuklis, Andrea Stazi and Francesco Sciacchitano also took part at the event.
