Adriana Mutu to Speak at the COPEJI 9.0 International Conference: “Governing the Ungovernable?”

14 February 2026 | Faculty of Law, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași
MEDEA is pleased to announce that Adriana Mutu has been invited to speak at the 9th International Conference “Legal Perspectives on the Internet” (COPEJI 9.0): Governing the Ungovernable?, hosted by the Faculty of Law at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (UAIC).
Organised in partnership with the University of Poitiers (Faculty of Law) and developed as an EC2U academic event, COPEJI 9.0 brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and technologists to examine the pressures that borderless platforms, autonomous systems, and rapid technological change place on traditional legal frameworks. The conference adopts a strongly interdisciplinary perspective, welcoming contributions from law, technology, political science, economics, philosophy, psychology, media and communication, ethics, and design.
This year’s theme — “Governing the Ungovernable?” — invites participants to explore the evolving interplay between law, code, power, and society, and to reflect on whether governance systems can meaningfully respond to technologies that increasingly shape, and at times escape, human control. The programme addresses a wide range of topics, including digital governance, algorithmic accountability, AI regulation, transnational enforcement, digital sovereignty, and the normative tensions emerging in post‑digital societies.
MEDEA congratulates Adriana on this invitation and looks forward to her participation in this important international forum.
