Adriana Mutu Presents Research on Digital Platform Governance at International Academic Conferences in Europe and Australia

On 14 September 2026, Adriana Mutu participated in the EU Values in the Digital Ecosystem Papers Discussion Workshop at Università Roma Tre in Rome, contributing to an international academic discussion on digital platforms, market power and European digital regulation.

During the panel “Digital Platforms, Digital Markets and the Digital Economy,” Adriana discussed the implementation of the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) by major online platforms, addressing issues related to algorithmic governance, accountability and consumer protection.

The workshop was organised by the EVO Jean Monnet Chair at Università Roma Tre and brought together researchers from European universities and research institutions to discuss current developments in digital governance, artificial intelligence, platform regulation, data protection, digital rights and the future of the European digital ecosystem.

The research was further discussed at the Policy & Internet Conference 2026, held at the University of Sydney, Australia, from 30 September to 2 October 2026, as part of the conference’s programme on digital sovereignty and platform. The event was organized by the University of Sydney and Peking University and brought together international researchers working on policy, technology, digital markets and governance.

At the Sydney conference, Adriana presented the paper “Platform Power and Content Moderation in Global Digital Marketplaces”. The contribution was included in a programme addressing digital sovereignty, platform governance, data sovereignty and digital regulation.
