In June and July 2026, Adriana Mutu participated in two international conferences held in Tilburg, the Netherlands, organized by the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) and Tilburg University.
TILTing Perspectives 2026 – Between Values and Innovation: Tech Governance in a Multicentric World (17–19 June 2026)
The conference brought together international experts to discuss developments in technology governance, including artificial intelligence, algorithmic accountability, data protection, digital sovereignty, and platform regulation.
Adriana presented her research on the Digital Services Act (DSA), with a focus on platform responsibilities and user protection in the digital environment.
Virtual and Digital Worlds: Real Challenges and Opportunities (9–10 July 2026)
Within this conference, Adriana contributed to discussions on data access under Article 40 of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
The event examined the impact of emerging technologies—such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence, and online platforms—on the digital public sphere, including implications for democratic rights, privacy, intellectual property, public participation, cultural heritage, and mental health.
